The government has rescheduled Sunday’s Junior School Certificate (JSC) examinations under Barisal and Chittagong education boards and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examination under Madarsah Education Board due to inclement weather.

The JSC examination for 6 November - English second paper under Barisal and Chittagong Board - has been moved to 12 November, while the same day’s JDC examination of English first paper rescheduled for 19 November, said Mahbubur Rahman, chairman of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka.
However, the JSC examinations of the rest of the boards will be held as per the current schedule on Sunday, Rahman added, says news agency UNB.
The country’s different areas, including capital Dhaka, have been experiencing intermittent rains for over the last two days under the influence of the depression over the northwest bay.
The low-lying areas of Barguna, Bhola, Patuakhali, Barisal, Pirozpur and Jhalakati of Barisal division are likely to be inundated by tidal surge of 2-3 feet under its influence.
The maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist distant cautionary signal No 4 as the depression over west-central Bay and adjoining area moved east-northeastwards and intensified into deep depression over northwest Bay and adjoining area.
