The ruling Bangladesh Awami League (AL) general secretary, Obaidul Quader, on Wednesday dropped a hint about reshuffling the cabinet by the year end or by early next year.

Also the road transport and bridges minister, Obaidul said that nobody will be spared if he or she is found guilty of any sort of crime.

The minister was speaking to newsmen after inaugurating the South Asian Special Olympic Cricket-2016 at Fatullah Stadium in Narayanganj.

Responding to a query, he said that although no one from Narayanganj has been kept in the AL central committee, its residents may get a minister by the end of the current year or early next year, according to UNB news agency.

Reiterating that the government will not spare anyone if they are found guilty of crimes, the minister then went on to say, "They'll be punished, no matter which party they belong to. Today, an AL MP has been sentenced to three years in jail for corruption. Currently, at least three ministers are facing trial in cases filed by ACC.”
Referring to the expulsion of the two arms-wielding BCL activists, the AL general secretary said, “Action has begun. I have started action on the instruction of the prime minister, Sheikh Hasina.”
BCL (Bangladesh Chhatra League) is the student wing of ruling AL.
In response to another question, he said that the AL government is not thinking about any snap polls and there is no local and international pressure in this regard.
He said the election will be held at the right time as per the constitution.
Obaidul also said BNP will take part in the next general election, no matter whenever and however it is held.
